The Lark and thw Wren

With the proper schooling, young Rune would be one of the greatest bards her world has ever seen. Unfortunately, the daughter of a tavern wench working at a run down inn,, no matter how talented, doesn't get a whole lot of formal training. One night, to live up to a boats she probably wouldn't have made if she weren't so mad, Rune goes to play her fiddle for the Ghost of Skull Hill. Everyone knows that anyone who goes up Skull Hill at night never comes down alive. But when the ghost appears Rune makes a deal. If the ghost tires of her fiddling before dawn then her life if his, if he is still listening when the sun rises, then he spares her life and lets her go on her way.



The Robin and the Kestrel


Robin, a gypsy bard, and Kestrel, semi-fugitive heir to a throne he doesn't want, are traveling the open road together, seeking happiness where they may find it. This story is about them, and how they help free the Ghost of Stone Hill, stopping a mad man from taking over the world with his religion.



The Eagle and the Nightingale


T'fyrr is a birdlike non-human the size of a man, accompanying the Deliambren on their trip to the Capital of the human kingdoms to cultivate favor for non-humans. While there, they meet with a Gypsy Free-Bard who is working in a local tavern and playing her music there. Together they free the King from a spell-like influence and create more tolerence in the Twenty Kingdoms for non-humans.
